Carex oshimensis āFeather Fallsā (variegated Japanese sedge)
ā¤ļøI'm a great fan of this lovely grass-like sedge.
Carex oshimensis āFeather Fallsā (commonly called āvariegated Japanese sedgeā ) is a well-behaved, mid-sized sedge, ideal for your low-maintenance garden. Did I mention itās gorgeousš
I'm getting one (at least one) this year! The arching foliage gives 'Feather Falls' a cascading look, so it's an excellent choice to grow in pots and containers where it can spill over for stunning impact. You can also tumble it over ugly retaining walls to help hide them beneath a dense mass of white and green stripey leaves.
Variegated plants like Carex oshimensis āFeather Fallsā are also great for brightening up gloomy spots (#titirangigarden).
While most happy in moist, rich soil āFeather Fallsā will tolerate a range of conditions once established, even periods of drought.
š¦Tolerates coastal locations, and either full sun or partial shade.
Expect a mature size of around 500mm x500mm.
